A new year... a fresh start. Our Team.

I really believe there is an I in Team. Every member brings a strength and expertise and every member learns from them. This year we are an iTeam. We hit the ground running. Lots of exciting events happening. Liz joined our team to help provide a special education services point of view and Charlot for IT support and technology presentations. Now we are 8 strong. Our goals for this year are Job Shadowing and An Evening of the Arts. Charlot put email address in place for every student using Google for Educators and this will help us better manage the email accounts needed for Wetpaint and the Career Portfolios.
This summer Al, Charlot and I presented Technology Boot Camp at PACTEC and it was a big success so we were asked to present Technology Boot Camp at the Countywide Inservice at ESC and The Integrated Learning Conference at Penn State.
We kicked off the year planning and collaborating. This week Liz and I provided a professional development training for the Shophoppers and Al, Beth, and I video conferenced, using skype, with middle school teachers in Marin County California. We shared our thoughts and experiences about the educational benefits of microblogging with Twitter. The PLC Team will be presenting an all faculty professional development session on the next inservice day (9/28). Our meetings are scheduled and our new Google Doc is up with many team members contributing and collaborating to meet the team goals.
I am looking forward to an exciting and productive year with our PLC team.
The ratio of We’s to I’s is the best indicator of the development of a team. - Lewis B. Ergen
